Julia Bainbridge

Admitted 2003, Julia joined the Criminal Department at Saunders Solicitors LLP in 2005 and has experience in many areas of criminal law, including terrorism, murder, rape, conspiracies, firearms offences, drugs cases and fraud.  She regularly represents clients at the magistrates’ court, including trial advocacy.

Julia recently represented Sohail Qureshi who was the first person to be convicted of Section 5 Terrorism Act 2006 (preparation of acts of terrorism).   The sentence of four and a half years was appealed to the Court of Appeal by the Attorney General as unduly lenient; AG’s appeal dismissed April 2008

Julia enjoys skiing, fine wines and curries but not necessarily all at the same time.
