| Solicitor/Higher Court Advocate – Criminal Department Ravi studied law and Economics at the Oxford Brookes University then went onto The College of Law where he took the Law Society’s Final Examination. He undertook his training at William Relton & Co of Westminster where he qualified in 1996. Ravi is a specialist in advocacy. As an advocate he has appeared as both prosecution and defence counsel and has taught for the London Criminal Courts Criminal Solicitors Association and the Legal Services Commission. He now undertakes advocacy training within Saunders Solicitors LLP. Ravi practices criminal law dealing with cases such as fraud, where he represented a principal defendant on the indictment of a $2.5 trillion United States bond fraud. Extradition law where Ravi challenged an extradition warrant for offences of murder, conspiracy to commit arson and terrorism. Whilst undertaking regulatory work he represented a defendant in an accountancy fraud on an international company. The funds were traced back to South Africa. The client was extradited and pleaded guilty. He then successfully challenged the confiscation proceedings. Ravi played squash and hockey to a national standard but is now taking things a little easier by taking up food and wine as a favourite pastime. Membership The Law Society
