Employers

A large proportion of our work involves advising clients how to resolve problems and manage employment issues without the need to resort to litigation.  In our experience potential difficulties are largely averted by companies having the correct procedures and policies in place from the outset.

Contracts of Employment

Employers are legally obliged by Section 1 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 to issue a statement of employment particulars within two months of the employee's commencement date.

  • We will draft, review and/or amend your contracts of employment to ensure legal compliance
  • We will ensure your current contracts of employment, policies and procedures are legally compliant and meet the needs of your company
  • We offer advice regarding the procedures to be followed when lawfully terminating a contract of employment and provide guidance on the obligations for employers who sell or purchase a business under the TUPE Regulations

Company Policies, handbooks & procedures

  • We will assist in drafting, reviewing and/or amending your employment policies and procedures.

We will always explore settlement of the dispute at the outset, but if the matter does result in litigation, whether within the High Court or Employment Tribunal, we will guide you through the process and offer you practical advice and legal support throughout.

  • disciplinary procedures and grievances in the workplace
  • terms and conditions of your employment contract
  • redundancy & dismissal
