James Saunders interviewed in Eastern Daily Press about Tony Lopes case

On Thursday 22 May James Saunders was interviewed in the Eastern Daily Press about the case of Tony Lopes, who was convicted of murder in 2002.

Mr Lopes has continued to protest his innocence, and James Saunders claims that new DNA testing technology will be able to establish once and for all whether Mr Lopes was in fact the killer. However, access to the evidence has been denied.

James Saunders is acting for Mr Kevin Nunn in a Supreme Court case dealing with access to exhibits for forensic testing. If successful with Mr Nunn's case, Mr Lopes may also be able to press for the evidence in his case to be subjected to DNA testing.
