We are renowned for advising on complex and newsworthy litigation, both within the UK and internationally. Our enviable client list shows that we regularly punch above our weight. On any day members of the team could be advising individuals, international media organisations, foreign companies and global PLCs.
Our small and collegiate team, led by partners James, Nia and Matthew, advise on the full-range of litigation matters, from commercial and civil litigation, to media law, criminal litigation, human rights and civil liberties work, to international arbitration and appeals to the Privy Council.
Recent headline litigation includes continuing to act for members of the Hillsborough Family Support Group, following the Hillsborough Disaster, high-profile appeallate litigation at both the Supreme Court and Privy Council and conducting International Arbitrations in relation to UNCITRAL and other international frameworks worth $100million.
We are a down-to-earth and friendly team, working in a supportive but ambitious environment. We are unstuffy, our partners sit in open-plan offices with their teams and also make the tea. We formed from the de-merger of a practice which traces its roots back to the 1970s and have bold plans for the future.
We are looking to hire a litigation associate solicitor, to work within our commercial litigation and dispute resolution team, reporting to Matthew Purcell. This team handles the full-range of commercial litigation as it affects businesses, charities, public bodies and individuals. The team are particularly adept at advising on professional negligence, breach of contract and large-scale debt matters, advising both claimants and defendants.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor, with between two and four years' post qualification experience obtained within this jurisdiction.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive experience of working on both claimant and defendant breach of contract and professional negligence matters.
Excellent procedural knowledge is essential, as is a commitment to business development and marketing. Ambition, a 'can do attitude' and a sense of humour are vital.
Candidates with a potential client following would be particularly welcome, but those with a strong vision for how to market their practice and attract and retain clients should also apply.
Salary shall be dependent on experience, but we can promise you unlimited career development as you grow with the firm, real client contact and a chance to be fully-immersed in fee-earning work.
