Saunders Law receives a ‘No Further Action’ outcome from the SRA

We recently represented a solicitor who received an initial letter from the SRA after their former employer reported them to the SRA. The SRA informed our client that there were concerns that our client had:

  1. Misled clients and third parties as to the position of files,
  2. Failed to understand the law and the work that was required on the files,
  3. Failed to follow the clients’ instructions, and
  4. Informed a client that third parties had been contacted when in fact they had not been.

Our client instructed us as soon as they received the initial letter from the SRA. We made detailed submissions refuting the allegations and providing a detailed explanation for what had happened on each matter.

The SRA reviewed our representations against the allegations made and informed our client that No Further Action would be taken. This is an outstanding outcome which has stopped months/years of investigation by the SRA, costs implications, and any publications about the complaints or our client’s identity.

If you are being investigated by the SRA or have been referred to the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, please get in touch with our Regulatory department to discuss how we can assist.
