Samantha Aidoo-Finnegan is a first-year trainee solicitor in our Human Rights department.

Samantha joined Saunders in July 2021 as a paralegal, assisting Cyrilia Knight on the Infected Blood, Undercover Police, Grenfell and Covid-19 Inquiries. Prior to joining Saunders, Samantha worked for Broudie Jackson Canter on the emerging Covid-19 Inquiry and on Covid-19 Inquests.

Prior to working in law, Samantha had a successful career working for a range of NGOs, most recently as a campaigner for CAFOD where she specialised in climate change, migration and international development. She is passionate about utilising her skills as a campaigner and is committed to the promotion and protection of human rights and due process. She has a particular interest in supporting clients to harness the power of campaigning alongside the law.

She holds an undergraduate degree in Law from the University of East Anglia, and a master’s degree in Human Rights from the London School of Economics. In 2022, she successfully completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) from the University of Law with Distinction.
