SRA decline to investigate law firm’s report that solicitor had misled her client and supervisor.

Saunders Law acted for a solicitor, T, engaged in property litigation. Following concerns about her working arrangements, T parted company with her employer in early 2026. Two months after her departure, the employer reported T to the Solicitors Regulation Authority for allegedly misleading her client and her supervising partner about the progress of a matter in 2025. The SRA contacted T, who had since taken up employment at a new firm, asking T for a response to the allegations. T promptly instructed Ali Parker at Saunders Law. Within two weeks, Ali sent a detailed explanation and legal representations to the SRA. Within four days of receiving those representations, the SRA decided not to investigate the matter further.
