Saunders Law achieve deletion of businesswoman’s police caution
Our client was issued with a simple caution by City of London Police for Possession of a class A drug contrary to section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
After nearly seventeen years, our client instructed us to make an application for record deletion. After reviewing all of the available documents and our client’s instructions, Saunders Law made an application for record deletion on the basis that it was no longer in the public interest to retain the caution on our client’s record.
We made the following arguments
- At the time of the incident our client was young and naïve
- Our client had been manipulated by others
- The full implications of the caution were never explained to our client
- It was her one and only offence
- The cautions were having a huge impact on her life
- Our client is an upstanding member of society who through her work has given a lot back to her community
- The caution was preventing her from expanding her business where she could offer more help to the community
- It had been nearly seventeen years since the caution was issued and our client had been punished enough
Saunders Law made the application in April 2026 and within just over three weeks, we received the successful outcome. Our client is now free to move on with her life, including expanding her business internationally without fear of visa restrictions. The case was conducted by solicitor Amber Richardson, supervised by Ali Parker.
