Nikita joined Saunders Law in November 2023 as a paralegal, assisting the human rights team on a wide range of cases against regarding the police and other state bodies including police assaults, police failure to investigate serious sexual offences, and inquests arising from deaths in prison custody.

Nikita is dedicated to advancing human rights and social justice. She previously worked at  a London-based charity seeking to provide reintegration and rehabilitation strategies for former child soldiers in Uganda. There, Nikita specifically focused on raising awareness around this crucial issue. She also advocated for sustainable solutions to support the successful reintegration and empowerment of former child soldiers, to become agents of change within their communities.

Nikita has obtained an LLB in English and European Law at Queen Mary University in London., Alongside her studies there, she volunteered to raise awareness of crucial socio-political challenges and legislative gaps around the issue of hate crime.

Nikita has also successfully completed an Advanced Masters (LLM) in European and International Human Rights Law at Leiden University.

Nikita has an unwavering commitment to advancing human rights, addressing systemic injustices, and contributing to a more just and equitable world. She is dedicated to amplifying the voices of marginalised individuals and communities, particularly victims of gender-based violence. She is eager to bring this passion and expertise to further drive positive change in the legal and human rights landscape.

Nikita is a member of Inquest Lawyers Group (‘ILG’) and Young Legal Aid Lawyers (‘YLAL’). She is currently studying to complete the SQE1 examination.
