Riva joined the firm’s Commercial Litigation department in October 2023.
Riva works on a wide-range of matters, including:
- An application for permission to appeal to the Supreme Court
- Breach of contract
- Contentious intellectual property
- Researching issues for a potential class-action claim
Riva’s previous legal experience includes having assisted on litigation claims at a boutique law firm specialising in media law and related disputes, pursuing her long-standing ambition for a career in media law. One of the most exciting cases she worked on included the high-profile phone-hacking litigation involving Mirror Group Newspapers. Riva assisted the partners on a variety of matters including working closely with counsel, attending court hearings and producing court bundles. Prior to that, Riva worked in the business development team at Hogan Lovells, gaining exposure to the workings of a large, global law firm.
Riva graduated from Warwick University in 2019 with a degree in Law and Sociology, after which she completed her Legal Practice Course at BPP University in London.
